In Ayurveda, One of the main component to treat ailments are plants. There are plenty of plants which are used as medicines, they have a lot of benefits which we people don't know so here I am to share some of the plants one by one, to know about there health benefits for our body.
So let's starts with Aamla or Amalaki.
Each and every plant have so many names which we generally classify as their Latin name, common name, and English or Hindi name.
Now begin with the Latin name Aamla's name is Emblica officinalis, common name Aamla or Amalaki and English name Indian gooseberry. These are the names of Aamla.
But here comes a question that from where this plant occurs, what is the physical features of this plant, how to identify an Aamla plant, and what are the medicinal qualities of these plants. So there are answers to all your queries. Firstly, starting with the physical features.
PHYSICAL FEATURES
Aamla is a tree of around 20-25 ft height found in warm states all over India and in many other countries. In the Aamla tree, the fruit has medicinal properties. The fruit of Aamla is round, shiny, and pulpy in appearance. When the fruit
is unripe, it is of green color and when it ripens, it is of yellowish
green color.
MEDICINAL QUALITIES
Digestive Problems
Yes, You read it right. Aamla is one of the best plants which helps in
treating digestive problems like indigestion, heartburn, and acidity.
Aamla powder is used according to persons digestive power (Agni) at night before sleeping to relieve constipation.
Diabetes Mellitus
Anemia
Majority of women and girls especially in India suffers from anemia ( low hemoglobin ) which leads to fatigue, body ache, severe cramps in legs and many other symptoms and Aamla is used as a cure in medicine as well as in diets.
One of the most important drug, which Ayurveda practitioners use to treat diabetes. In Ayurveda Samhitas, Aamla or Amalaki is used in diabetes, and also in today's era, Aamla is the best drug along with Haldi to maintain the glucose level in diabetic patients.
Anemia

nourishment to children who wear glasses. In Ayurveda therapy, Aamla is used as medicine in the form of powder, and also in the diet it is used in various forms most commonly Aamla candy ( Aamla murabba ).
