Mental Health - During Coronavirus Awareness and Tips


In the outburst of this pandemic Covid-19 ( coronavirus ), most of the countries are affected by this and Mental health rises as one of the bigger problems, lockdown is implemented in most of the countries of the world, state of tension increases day by day with an increasing number of cases of coronavirus, death due to coronavirus, financial instability and downfall of the economy.
This lockdown period is something that was not experienced before, life became unexpected. Each one of us reminds our lifestyle before lockdown, staying in a home is difficult for some of the people that leads to disturbance in mental health. Maintenance of Physical as well as mental health is the definition of health.

School going children faces different problems while staying in their home, online schooling became difficult to them, no proper awareness of coronavirus forms a state of tension to them, they fear when they will be able to go out if their family members affected by this coronavirus what will happen and many other problems.
The young age working class might be suffering from financial instability, fear of loss of job due to economic downfall.
Old age people who are already suffering from any of the chronic disorders might fear more probability of themselves to be suffered from this virus.
Each group of age has it's own several triggering factors for anxiety and stress during this pandemic. The difference in stress and anxiety management is our defense mechanism process, how our brain works in the direction of defense, how our thoughts processed in our body to cope up from stress and anxiety are different that's why some people have more episodes of stress and anxiety and some people suffered less.

Now here I am going to discuss Stress busters which may help you in this crisis.

  • Make a schedule of your daily routine activities, make a schedule which is possible for you to follow, if you are working from home then make sure you take several intervals of a break at least of 5 minutes, just walk in your room, drink a warm glass of water, eat fruits.
  • Start doing meditation and yoga, there are some poses ( asanas) which help in relaxing the mind. Asanas like Sukhasana, Shavasana, and Makrasana are the easiest one and best in relaxing the mind.
  • Make a habit to reward yourself with something, during work from home or online schooling make space for one day in which you do whatever you want either dancing, taking a nap, watching a movie, painting, or anything you want, make great use of day to energize your body. It helps you to regain your energy and make you more concentrate on your work.                                                                   
  • Restrict yourself to watching excessive news about coronavirus, make sure that you don't revolve around news the whole day, negative information of coronavirus as it causes a sense of fear.                                                                                                                                                       
  • Become a responsible citizen, check twice before spreading any news about coronavirus, and stop forwarding any rumors about coronavirus.                                                                                                                                                 
  • Talk to your family and friends, stay connected with them, and share your problem with them.                                                                                                                                                           
 [ Tip - If your mind isn't able to concentrate then here's a task you should write down your insecurities on a paper and think about it, think about the negative as well as positive thoughts you felt at that moment to cope up with these insecurities, then lastly make an approach to overcome your insecurities one by one, one at a time .]                                                                                                                                                                                                               
 In this period of time, we have our family and friends, we can come out with this safely, just stay positive in this period and help yourself as well as others.
Also ensure you utilize this period in making a better version of yourself, try to learn something new, try to understand your self, your body, your strength, your weakness, work on yourself.
