Ayurveda Lifestyle For Diabetes

In today's era, a list of diseases become common frequently because of our ill habits of living and these diseases named lifestyle disorders. The changed living habits, modernization, sedentary lifestyle, eating packaged food, artificial sweeteners, processed foods, and inadequate physical exercise all lead to lifestyle disorders.
Some lifestyle disorders which are affecting commonly are Diabetes mellitus, Obesity, Hypertension, PCOS, Migraine, and Cardiovascular diseases. 
These are the disorders people made by their own choices.
For healthy living, there is none better than Ayurveda science. With the help of Ayurveda, one can change lifestyle, adapts healthy habits, and prevents lifestyle disorders. 



So In this blog, I am going to bring up Routine for diabetic patients
  • Awake early in the morning.
  • Drink one glass of lukewarm water with one tablespoon of Aamla powder and Haldi powder.        [Aamla and Haldi have been proven hypoglycemic in nature  and shown a great effect in lowering the glucose level.] 
  • Aerobic exercise daily for about 30 minutes. [Aerobic exercise such as jogging, swimming, or  cycling.]
  • Bathing should be preferable from lukewarm water and a neem decoction.                                  [Neem decoction is advised for bathing in diabetic patients as they suffered from itching all over the body and neem is anti-microbial nature which helps in decreasing the itching.]
  • Breakfast should include veg upma, Idli, Besan pancakes, or Chapatti with vegetables.
  • Lunch should consist of Vegetables, Daal, and plain chapatti.                                                          [Diabetic patients should avoid rice]
  • Sleep during the afternoon is restricted.
  • For snacks roasted channa, fox nuts, seasonal fruits should be consumed.
  • Dinner should be of Vegetables, Daal, and plain chapatti.                                                            [For making chapati Wheat flour, Channa flour, and Yava( Barley/ Jau ) flour in 4:1:1 ration i.e 1kg wheat flour, 250gm channa, and Yava flour should be used as channa and Yava flour has a great role in balancing the glucose level in the body.]
  • After dinner walk for about 15 minutes.
  • Sleep at a regular time.

  • Carrot
  • Shalgam ( Turnip)
  • Eggplant( Brinjal)

  • Cauliflower
  • Okra( Bhindi)
  • Beans
  • Spinach
  • Ghiya( Bottle guard)
  • Tori( Ridge guard)
  • Parval ( Pointed guard) 
  • Karela( Bitter guard)
Fruits-
  • Blackberry( Jamun) 
  • Papaya 
  • Apple
  • Guava
  • Aamla 
  • Kiwi
  • Oranges
