Mukha-Abhyanga- Ways To Do Facial Massage At Your Own

Self-care is the uttermost necessity for a person. It depends on the aspect of an individual how one can care their body as well as their mind.
In the series of self-care, I mentioned Shiroabhyanga and Abhyanga, their benefits, and how to do them by ourselves at home.
Today in continuation of these series take a look at Mukha-abhyanga or Facial Massage
Mukha-abhyanga or Facial Massage is the procedure of applying oil to face in a specific direction.
It helps in improving the blood circulation of the face, it helps to maintain the luster of skin and rejuvenates the skin.

HOW TO DO MUKHA-ABHYANGA (FACIAL MASSAGE) AT YOUR OWN

Before starting massage-Wash your hand properly and choose facial oil according to your convenience and according to your skin type.
                                       
PROCEDURE

Forehead
Firstly place your thumb at the center of the forehead then slowly glides your thumb away from each other with firm pressure.

Eyebrows-
Then linear massage on the eyebrows by applying firm pressure with the thumb.

Nose-
After massaging eyebrows place your thumb on the base of the nasal bridge and by applying gentle pressure moved to the tip of the nose. 
Sides of the nose are then massaged simultaneously by applying firm and gentle pressure.

Upper Lips-
For linear massage on upper lips place your fingers in the middle of the skin above the upper lip and by applying gentle pressure moved away from your fingers to the lateral side.

Maxillary Area-
Place the fingers on sides of the nose and moved by applying firm pressure laterally towards the ears and then downwards towards the mandible.

Cheek
Placed your palms on the cheek and move in an anti-clockwise direction with gentle pressure.
Then bony eminence cheekbone is massaged apply pressure in an anti-clockwise direction. 

Chin
Placed your fingers on the center of the chin and then moved towards the lateral side.

Mandible- Place your fingers of both the hands and hold your chin skin and applying pressure move towards the lateral side.

Repeat these steps 5 times for better results.
After massaging rest for 15 minutes and then wash your face with chickpea flour or cruelty-free face washes.
Try to massage your face at least once a week and notice changes in your skin.
